Aside from the fact that I just thought the story was awful, MD was also a big letdown for me after Children of Earth. I know that gave too many people the sads but I thought it was really well done and it was the only season/mini-series to portray Jack the way I've always seen him. Children of Earth basically acknowledged that Jack is kind of a monster, but a necessary one and I loved that. Then MD rolls around and he's back to being the plucky hero and just...no. Not to mention it ruined my idea of Gwen-wood, aka a Torchwood team led by Gwen where Jack is just a consultant or something.
As you can see, I still have a lot of Torchwood feels and I wish Alexa had been in any other season, as I really adored Esther and would've liked to see her again.
